Understanding how the European Commission funds and grants work can be a daunting process. There are structural funds, regional funds, funds governed by political expectations and others managed by the Commission for direct benefit of individuals. It is a confusing environment, even just understanding the eligibility rules.
Even once you have found the grant that might help progress your work, there is the application process to overcome, maybe partners to be found and of course the budget to get right. The Commission requires a very specific approach, certain content requirements, use of particular language and knowledge of how an application will be evaluated.
